Understanding Blood Splatter Effects
How Splatter Works
When you damage a mob, blood particles spray from the exact point of impact. The amount and speed of particles depend on how much damage you deal—stronger hits create more dramatic splatter effects.
Different damage types produce distinct patterns: melee strikes burst directly outward, projectiles create directional trails, and explosions scatter droplets across a wide area. Droplets that hit nearby blocks leave stain marks on surfaces, accumulating visibly during intense fights.
Mobs have unique splatter colors and particle types. Most creatures release red blood, but Glow Squids spray cyan droplets, Slimes release dark green jelly, the Warden emits deep blue particles, and Skeletons shatter bone fragments instead. You can customize particle counts, flight speed, and individual mob colors in the configuration file to match your preferences.
