How to Light a Campfire from Scratch

Gather Your Materials

Before you can create a working campfire, collect:

• One or more logs (any wood type)
• Flint and steel
• A campfire block (crafted or found)

Light the Fire

1. Place the campfire block on the ground where you want it.

2. Hold a log in your main hand (not offhand).

3. Right-click on the campfire with the log. The campfire will now be prepared and ready to ignite.

4. Equip your flint and steel.

5. Right-click on the prepared campfire with the flint and steel to light it.

Your campfire is now active and will burn for a set duration. The fire will consume the log you provided and begin producing smoke and heat. Remember that the campfire will eventually extinguish, so plan ahead if you need a long-term light source or cooking station.
