Set Up Your First Night Base
Gather Resources Quickly
When you spawn, immediately collect wood from the nearest oak or birch trees. Punch trees with your fist until you have enough logs to craft a crafting table and wooden tools. This should take only a few minutes.
Find a Safe Building Spot
Look for a location on the island's surface that's elevated and away from cliff edges. Avoid building directly above cave entrances, as mobs can climb up at night. The rolling hills provide natural shelter—consider building into a hillside rather than on flat ground.
Build Your Shelter
Construct a small enclosed box using wooden planks or stone. Make it at least 3 blocks tall and 4 blocks wide to give yourself room to move. Leave one block open for a door, then craft and place a wooden door. Add a crafting table and furnace inside.
Light It Up
Craft torches using sticks and coal (or charcoal from smelting wood). Place torches around your shelter's interior and exterior. Mobs won't spawn in well-lit areas, so adequate lighting is essential on this crowded island.
Prepare for Tomorrow
Before bed, gather extra wood and stone for tool repairs. Sleep in a bed as soon as you can craft one to skip the night and avoid the first wave of hostile mobs.
