Understand Diamond Depth

Diamonds spawn only in the deepest layers of the floating island. You must dig significantly below the surface—far deeper than where you find iron and coal. Bring enough supplies for an extended mining trip.

Use Branch Mining

Once you reach the lowest safe levels, dig a long horizontal tunnel. From this main tunnel, dig smaller branches off to the side at regular intervals. This method covers more ground than random digging and maximizes your chances of finding diamond veins.

Bring the Right Tools

Use an iron or diamond pickaxe to mine diamonds—wooden or stone pickaxes won't work. If you don't have iron yet, focus on mining iron ore first, then smelt it and craft better tools.

Stay Safe in Deep Caves

The deepest sections have the most monsters and lava. Keep torches placed constantly. Bring extra food and water. If you find a lava lake, navigate around it carefully—don't jump.

Return with Your Haul

Once you've collected diamonds, head straight back to the surface using your torch markers. Don't get greedy and stay too long—the journey up is just as dangerous as the journey down.
