Understand What Happens to Your Server When Everyone Logs Out

The Pause State Explained

When the last player disconnects from your server, Ready Player Fun Mod immediately halts three systems:

  • In-game time – the day-night cycle freezes
  • Weather – rain, clear skies, and storms stay locked in place
  • Seasons – seasonal progression pauses (if using a season mod)

What Doesn't Pause

Other server mechanics may continue depending on your setup:

  • Redstone circuits and contraptions
  • Block updates and growth
  • Mob behavior and spawning
  • Chunk loading and unloading

The mod specifically targets time-based systems, not general server ticking.

Resumption on Login

The instant a player joins:

1. All paused systems resume immediately

2. Time, weather, and seasons continue from their frozen state

3. No ticks are skipped or doubled—progression is seamless

Server Performance

Pausing these systems can reduce server load while nobody is playing, since time-dependent calculations don't need to run. This is especially helpful for servers with heavy season or weather mods.
