Maintain a Flexible Terracotta Stockpile

Building a Versatile Supply

Instead of storing separate stacks of each terracotta color, maintain a flexible stockpile that adapts to your needs.

1. Collect terracotta blocks in any colors (prioritize abundant colors)

2. Store them in organized containers or chests

3. Keep a supply of all sixteen dyes nearby

4. When you need a specific color, recolor blocks from your stockpile on demand

5. Replenish your dye supply as needed

Storage Efficiency

This approach saves inventory and storage space compared to keeping pre-dyed terracotta of every color. You only need to store raw terracotta and dyes, then create colors as your build progresses.

This is particularly valuable during large construction projects where your color needs may change. You won't be locked into a specific color choice, and you can adapt your palette as your design evolves. Keep your most common dyes easily accessible for quick recoloring sessions.
