Use Coordinates to Navigate and Mark Important Locations

Enabling the Coordinates Display

Activate the coordinates HUD element from the mod settings. Your current X, Y, and Z position will now display on screen, updating in real-time as you move.

Understanding Coordinate Values

X and Z coordinates represent your horizontal position (east-west and north-south). Y represents your vertical height. Use these numbers to track your location and create mental maps of your world. Write down coordinates of important places like your base, farms, or ore deposits.

Navigating to Specific Locations

If you've recorded coordinates, you can use them to return to the same spot. Open your map or use a compass, then travel until your displayed coordinates match your target. This is especially useful for finding bases or meeting points in multiplayer.

Creating Waypoint References

Keep a notebook or text file with important coordinates and their descriptions (e.g., "Home: X=150 Y=64 Z=-200"). The HUD display makes it easy to verify when you've arrived at your destination without pausing to check a map.
