What Rare Ice Does

Rare Ice changes how ice generates in snowy biomes. Instead of plain ice blocks, some ice will spawn with items trapped inside it. When you break one of these blocks, the trapped item is released.

How to Find Trapped Items

Explore cold biomes and look for ice. Break ice blocks as you travel and watch for the ones that drop something beyond the usual block. The mod does not add a special tool requirement, so ordinary mining works.

Why It Matters

This gives you a reason to wander through snowy terrain rather than skip it. Ice that once held nothing now becomes a small reward for exploring. The items inside are random, so each block is a minor gamble.

Tips

• Bring a shovel or pickaxe so you can clear ice quickly.
• Check ice near caves, lakes and surface pools in snowy biomes.
• Don't ignore ice you pass on the way to somewhere else.
• The mechanic is simple: break ice, get what's inside.
