How Random Sheep Colours Works

Random Sheep Colours Mod is a small, single-purpose mod that changes how sheep look when they spawn. Instead of always appearing with the default fleece colour, newly spawned sheep are given a random wool colour drawn from a list you control.

The mod is configured through its configuration file. There you can choose which colours are included in the random selection, so you can keep the palette close to vanilla or open it up to a wider range. Only colours on your list will be picked.

The mod also supports the "jeb_" Easter egg sheep. A sheep named "jeb_" cycles through all wool colours, and this behaviour is preserved alongside the random spawn colours.

Because the change only affects sheep at spawn time, existing sheep in your world keep the colour they already have. The mod is designed to blend with vanilla Minecraft, so no new items, blocks, or recipes are added — it simply makes sheep spawns more varied.
