How to Get Armor Trims Without Traveling to Structures

Why Fish for Trims

Armor trims normally require exploring dangerous structures like shipwrecks, ocean ruins, jungle temples, and ancient cities. The Random Fishing Crates mod lets you obtain these trims by fishing instead, saving you time and keeping you safe.

Finding Trims in Crates

Higher-rarity crates are more likely to contain armor trims. Focus on catching Rare, Epic, Legendary, and Mythic crates—these rarities have the best chances of including trim templates. Common and Uncommon crates rarely contain trims.

Using Your Trims

Once you've collected trim templates from crates, you can apply them to armor using a smithing table. Combine your armor with the trim template and the appropriate material (copper, iron, gold, etc.) to customize your gear's appearance.

This approach is especially useful early-game when exploring distant structures is risky, or if you want specific trims without the adventure. Keep fishing until you've collected the trim templates you need.
