How to Attach and Detach Trailers
Connecting a Trailer
Trailers can be towed behind any truck equipped with a trailer hitch. Approach the rear of your truck and look for the hitch connection point. Position your trailer so its coupling aligns with your truck's hitch, then interact with the connection. The trailer will lock into place and move with your vehicle.
Disconnecting a Trailer
To unhitch a trailer, approach the connection point at the rear of your truck and interact with it again. The trailer will detach and remain stationary. You can now drive away freely or reposition the trailer for another connection.
Tips for Safe Towing
When towing, your truck's handling will be affected by the added weight and length. Turn more gradually and allow extra stopping distance. Use your turn signals before changing direction to alert other players. Avoid steep terrain when heavily loaded, as trailers can tip or disconnect unexpectedly on uneven ground. Always ensure your trailer is properly connected before driving long distances.
