Raise Sound Limit Simplified Mod Guide

What This Mod Does

Raise Sound Limit Simplified Mod raises the limit on how many sound sources Minecraft can play at the same time. By default, the game caps the number of simultaneous sounds; when that cap is reached, new sounds are dropped or cut off. This mod lifts that cap so more sounds can play together.

Why Use It

If you play with modpacks or in situations with lots of sound activity, you may notice audio dropouts — sounds that should play but don't, or that stop abruptly. This happens because the game is already playing its maximum number of sounds. Raising the limit prevents those dropouts and keeps audio consistent.

Configuration

The mod's settings live in a config file at .minecraft/config/rsls.properties. You can edit this file to adjust how the mod behaves. The exact options depend on the file's contents; open it in a text editor to see what is available. Changes typically take effect after restarting the game.

Notes

This is a small, single-purpose mod. It does not add items, blocks, or recipes. It only changes the sound limit.
