Making the Rainbow XP Bar Work on a Server

Resource Packs Are Client-Side

This pack changes only textures on your own screen, so you do not need to install anything on the server. As long as the pack is selected in your client's Resource Packs menu, the rainbow XP bar and recolored ping indicators will appear on every server you join, including vanilla servers and realms.

If the Server Forces Its Own Pack

Many servers push a required resource pack on join. When that happens, the server's pack is applied on top of yours and may overwrite the experience bar or ping icons. You have a few options:

1. Open Options → Resource Packs while connected and move the Rainbow XP Bar pack above the server pack in the Selected list. This works only if the server does not lock its pack.

2. If the server pack is locked, disable Server Resource Packs in your multiplayer/server settings so the server's pack is not applied. Note that some servers require their pack to display custom models or UI, so you may lose those visuals.

3. On servers where the pack is optional, simply decline it on the prompt and keep your own pack active.

After Changing Settings

Rejoin the server or press F3 + T to reload textures. Check the XP bar and the Tab-list ping bars to confirm your pack is now the one being displayed.
