How to Install the Rainbow XP Bar and Ping Resource Pack

Getting the Pack Ready

Once you have downloaded the resource pack file, do not unzip it. Minecraft reads .zip archives directly, and extracting the contents will break the pack's folder structure. If your download arrived as a .zip, leave it as-is. If it arrived as a folder, you will need to compress it back into a zip before continuing.

Applying It In-Game

1. Launch Minecraft and go to Options from the main menu.

2. Select Resource Packs.

3. Click Open Pack Folder — this opens the resourcepacks directory inside your Minecraft installation.

4. Drag or copy the pack's .zip file into that folder.

5. Return to the game; the pack should now appear in the left-hand Available column.

6. Click the arrow to move it to the Selected column, then click Done.

Confirming It Worked

Enter any world and look at your experience bar — it should now display a rainbow gradient instead of the vanilla green. Open the multiplayer server list or press Tab in a server to check that the connection bars have also changed color. If nothing changed, make sure the pack sits above any other pack that also edits the hotbar or GUI textures, since the topmost pack wins conflicts.
