Fix Leaves Not Showing New Shapes in Older Versions

Identify the Problem

If you're playing an older Minecraft version and leaf blocks appear flat or blocky despite having Rainbow's Foliage installed, the game isn't rendering the new leaf angles.

Install the Puzzle Mod

Older game versions need the Puzzle mod to display the angled leaf shapes that Rainbow's Foliage provides.

1. Install the Puzzle mod alongside Rainbow's Foliage

2. Reload your world

3. Leaves should now display with the bushier, fuller appearance

Newer Versions

If you're playing a recent Minecraft update, Rainbow's Foliage works without any additional mods. The angle rendering is built into the game engine, so you only need the resource pack itself.

Verify Installation

After adding Puzzle mod, check that both mods are enabled and the resource pack is active. Load a world with trees—you should see noticeably fuller, more detailed foliage compared to vanilla leaves.
