Combine Rainbow's Foliage with Other Texture Packs

Layering Resource Packs

Rainbow's Foliage is designed to work alongside other texture packs. The key is load order and compatibility.

1. Place Rainbow's Foliage lower in your resource pack list (it loads first)

2. Place your other texture packs above it

3. Ensure the other packs don't modify leaf block models

What Works and What Doesn't

You can safely combine Rainbow's Foliage with packs that change:

  • Block textures (stone, dirt, wood)
  • Mob skins and textures
  • GUI elements
  • Particle effects

Avoid stacking packs that modify leaf block models, as they'll override the bushy foliage shapes and defeat the purpose of using Rainbow's Foliage.

Testing Your Setup

After combining packs, load a world with trees and check that leaves appear both textured from your top pack and shaped from Rainbow's Foliage. If leaves look flat or default, a conflicting pack is overriding the leaf model.
