Customize the Rainbow Gradient Colors

Accessing the Resource Pack Files

To modify the rainbow gradient, you'll need to edit the resource pack's texture files. Locate your resource pack folder in .minecraft/resourcepacks/ and extract the Rainbow eXP-Bar pack if it's in .zip format.

Editing the XP Bar Texture

Navigate to assets/minecraft/textures/gui/ and find the XP bar texture file. Open it in an image editor like Photoshop, GIMP, or Paint.NET.

The XP bar texture typically consists of a horizontal gradient. You can:

  • Adjust individual color stops along the gradient
  • Change hue, saturation, or brightness values
  • Create custom color transitions (e.g., sunset tones, pastels, neon)
  • Modify the animation frame sequence if multiple frames exist

Applying Your Changes

Save the edited texture file in PNG format to preserve transparency. Repack the resource pack into a .zip file if needed, then reload your resource packs in-game. Your custom gradient will appear on the XP bar immediately.

Test different color schemes to find what matches your playstyle and aesthetic best.
