How Rail Optimization Mod Works
What This Mod Changes
Rail Optimization Mod targets the rail update process in Minecraft. In vanilla, powered rails and activator rails respond to redstone signals with a certain delay as the game processes their state changes. This mod speeds up that process, making those rails turn on and off up to four times faster than normal.
What This Means in Practice
When you send a redstone signal to a powered rail, it switches to its powered state more quickly. The same applies when the signal is removed, and to activator rails toggling their activation state. The result is that minecart systems relying on precise or rapid rail switching feel more responsive.
What It Does Not Do
The mod does not add new
blocks, items, or recipes. It does not change how rails are crafted or placed. It only adjusts the timing of the rail update process itself. Because the change is limited to update speed, it should be compatible with builds that depend on vanilla rail behavior, though very tightly timed contraptions may behave slightly differently.
