Finding and Activating Your First Portal to the Radiation Zone

Locating the Ruined Portal

Head to any desert biome in the Overworld and search for ruined portal structures. These are partially destroyed portal frames scattered across the sandy terrain. Look for the distinctive arrangement of blocks and the Decayed Stones nearby—they're your key to entering the Radiation Zone dimension.

Gathering Materials

Collect all available Decayed Stones from around the ruined portal structure. You'll need enough to form a complete circle on the ground. If the portal site doesn't have sufficient stones, explore nearby desert areas for additional ruins.

Activating the Portal

Once you've gathered your Decayed Stones, place them in a circular pattern on flat ground. Position a Glowstone block directly in the center of this circle. The final step is to hold Radioactive Flame in your hand and right-click the Glowstone block. The portal will activate, creating a gateway to the wasteland dimension. Step through to enter the Radiation Zone and begin your exploration of this dangerous new realm.
