Troubleshoot Quilt Installation Issues
Common Installation Problems
If the Quilt Installer doesn't work as expected, try these steps to identify and fix the issue.
Basic Troubleshooting
1. Installer won't open: Ensure you have Java installed. The installer requires Java to run.
2. Version not appearing in launcher: Run the installer again and verify you clicked "Install" completely.
3. Game crashes on launch: Check that your Minecraft version matches what you selected in the installer. Verify your Java version is compatible with that Minecraft version.
4. Profile created but Quilt doesn't load: Delete the profile from your launcher, run the installer again, and create a fresh installation.
Checking Your Setup
Open your Minecraft Launcher and look at the profile details. The version should show "Quilt" or reference the Quilt loader. If it shows only the vanilla version number, the installation didn't complete properly.
If problems persist, try creating a completely new Minecraft installation for that version before running the Quilt Installer again.
