Changing Your Active Quilt Version

If you want to play mods on a different Minecraft version, you'll need to create a new Quilt installation for that version.

Steps

1. Open the Quilt Installer application again

2. In the version selector, choose the Minecraft version you want to install Quilt for

3. Click the "Install" button

4. The installer will create a new Quilt profile for that version

5. Open your Minecraft Launcher

6. You'll now see multiple Quilt profiles in your launcher—one for each version you installed

7. Select the profile matching your desired version and launch the game

Managing Multiple Profiles

Each Quilt installation is independent. Mods you install for one version won't appear in another. Keep your mod folders organized by version to avoid confusion. You can rename profiles in the Minecraft Launcher for clarity (for example, "Quilt 1.20" or "Quilt 1.19").
