How to Use Shulker Boxes and Crafting Tables Without Placing Them

Shulker Boxes

Hold a shulker box and right-click while aiming at empty air. The mod opens the box's contents immediately, letting you deposit or withdraw items on the spot. When you close the interface, the box stays in your inventory rather than sitting in the world, so you never have to break it or worry about it being destroyed. This is ideal for managing loot mid-adventure without stopping to place and pick up blocks.

Crafting Tables

With a crafting table selected, right-click at the air to bring up the crafting grid directly. You can craft anything you would normally craft at a placed table, then close the window and keep moving. No block is placed, so there is nothing to clean up afterwards. This pairs well with the shulker box behaviour, since you can pull materials out of a box and craft with them in the same spot.

Other Supported Blocks

The same interaction works for cartography tables and the various village profession blocks, such as the ones used by villagers for their trades. Simply hold the block, aim at air, and right-click to open its interface.

Tips

• Always aim at air; targeting a block falls back to normal placement.
• Keep your most-used utility blocks in a fixed hotbar slot so the interaction becomes muscle memory.
