Fixing Quick Right-Click Not Working: Common Causes

Check What You Are Aiming At

The most common reason the mod appears to do nothing is that your crosshair is resting on a block. The quick interaction only triggers when you right-click while aiming at empty air, so if you are looking at the ground, a wall, or any solid surface, the game falls back to ordinary block placement. Tilt your view up toward the sky or an open gap and try again.

Check the Item and the Situation

  • Confirm the item in your hand is actually one the mod supports, such as a bed, Ender Chest, shulker box, crafting table, cartography table, or a village profession block. Other items will behave normally.
  • For beds, remember that sleeping only works at night or during a thunderstorm, and only if the area is safe. A failed sleep is a game rule, not a mod fault.
  • For containers, make sure nothing else is already occupying the interaction, such as another open interface.

Server and Configuration Notes

On multiplayer servers, some interactions may be restricted by server-side plugins or permissions, which can block the behaviour even though the mod is installed. If it works in singleplayer but not on a server, that is usually the cause. Also check that the mod is actually loaded for your current world or profile, since a disabled mod will silently do nothing.
