How to Use the GuildMaster and Mod Compatibility

The GuildMaster Profession

The mod adds an extra villager profession called the GuildMaster. Treat this villager as a quest hub: it exists alongside the standard professions, each of which has its own questline. When you are looking for a specific questline, check whether it belongs to a normal profession or to the GuildMaster, since the exclamation mark only tells you a villager is a quest giver, not which chain it holds.

Compatibility with Other Villager Mods

The mod is built to work with additional villager professions from other mods, including More Villagers, Beekeeper, and Guard quests. This means villagers from those professions can also act as quest givers when the appropriate questline is defined for them. If you use those mods together, expect their professions to appear as quest sources in addition to the base professions.

Practical Notes

  • If a compatible profession's villager shows no exclamation mark, no questline is assigned to it in your datapack.
  • Compatibility depends on questlines being authored for those professions, so a missing quest is a datapack issue, not a bug.
  • The mod was made for a specific modpack, so outside that context you may need to supply your own questlines for these professions to function as quest givers.
