How to Find and Trade with Quest Giver Villagers

Spotting a Quest Giver

Quest Giver Villagers are visually distinct from ordinary villagers: a floating exclamation mark hovers above their head. This marker is your cue that the villager has a questline attached to it. Each villager profession carries its own questline, so the type of quest you receive depends on which profession you approach. The mod also adds a dedicated GuildMaster profession, which acts as a central hub for quest-related interaction.

Interacting and Accepting Quests

Walk up to a Quest Giver Villager and open the trade/interaction screen as you would with any villager. Instead of the usual trade grid, you will see quest options tied to that profession's questline. A single questline is made up of multiple quests, and each quest contains several tasks plus rewards. Read the task list before accepting so you know what is required. Once you complete the tasks, return to the villager to hand in the quest and claim your reward.

Practical Tips

  • If a villager has no exclamation mark, it is not a quest giver for that profession.
  • Questlines are defined by datapacks, so the exact quests you see depend on the pack you are playing.
  • Keep note of which profession gave you which quest, since you may need to return to the same villager to finish it.
