Finding Your First Mangrove Village

Locating the Settlement

Mangrove villages in this data pack are intentionally hidden beneath dense canopy, making them challenging to spot. Start by traveling to a mangrove swamp biome—these generate naturally in swamp terrain with the characteristic tall trees and muddy water.

Search Strategy

Once in a mangrove swamp, look downward rather than around. The villages generate *below* the thick leaves and root systems of mangrove trees. Walk slowly through the biome and watch for:

• Wooden structures visible through gaps in the canopy
• Rooflines (often red or green colored) peeking through foliage
• Unnatural geometric shapes among the organic tree roots
• Bridges or platforms connecting between trees

Entering the Village

When you spot a structure, descend carefully through the tree roots and leaves. You'll find wooden pathways and bridges that connect different buildings. These walkways guide you through the settlement and lead to key areas like the marketplace and individual buildings worth looting.
