How to Fix Text That Looks Too Tall or Misaligned After Installing the Pack

Why Alignment Can Look Off

Because lowercase letters are replaced with smaller uppercase shapes, the vertical rhythm of a line of text changes. Numbers and special characters are adjusted by the pack for height consistency, but certain combinations — like a lowercase letter next to a tall symbol — can still look uneven depending on your GUI scale and font settings.

Adjusting Your Display

1. Open Options > Video Settings and try changing GUI Scale. A different scale often makes the small-capital text sit more evenly against buttons and labels.

2. If you use a custom font size through your launcher or an accessibility setting, return it to the default and re-check, since the pack is designed around the vanilla glyph height.

3. Turn off any other resource pack that also edits font/default.json or the font textures. Two font packs stacked will fight each other and produce inconsistent heights.

4. Reload resources with F3 + T after every change so the font atlas is rebuilt.

Where It Matters Most

Signs, item tooltips, and the chat box are the places where misalignment is most noticeable. Check each one after adjusting scale. If a specific screen still looks wrong, note that some server-side plugins render their own text with their own font and will ignore this pack entirely — that is expected and not a bug.
