Qrafty’s Capitalized Font Resource Pack FAQ
10 questions players actually ask, answered.
How do I turn on the capitalized font after installing the pack?
Open Options, then Resource Packs, and move Qrafty's Capitalized Font to the Selected list on the right. Click Done and the font applies immediately, no restart needed.
Why do lowercase letters still look normal in some places?
The pack only changes text that uses Minecraft's default font. Text drawn by other resource packs, custom fonts from mods, or hardcoded images like some logos won't be affected.
Does this pack change the actual letters I type, or just how they look?
It's purely visual. You still type normal lowercase letters and chat, commands, and signs all behave normally, they just render as small capitals on screen.
Why does my text look taller or misaligned after installing this?
The pack adjusts glyph heights, so some UI elements or other resource packs that assume default spacing can look off. Try loading this pack above or below your other packs to see which order fixes the alignment.
Can other players see the capitalized font when I type in chat?
Only if they also have the pack enabled. The font is client-side, so each player sees text using whatever font pack they have selected.
How do I make everyone on my server see the same font?
You can't force it through the server alone since font packs are client-side. The usual approach is to ask players to install it, or use a server resource pack that includes the font so it's applied automatically on join.
Will this pack break my other resource packs?
It only touches font files, so blocks, items, and textures from other packs are unaffected. Conflicts only happen if another pack also changes the font, in which case the higher pack in the list wins.
How do I turn the capitalized font off without removing my other packs?
Go to Resource Packs and move Qrafty's Capitalized Font back to the Available list on the left. Your other selected packs stay active and the default font returns.
Does the pack affect performance or FPS?
No meaningful impact. It's just a font texture swap, so there's no extra rendering cost compared to the vanilla font.
Do numbers and special characters look different too?
Yes, numbers and symbols are adjusted so their height matches the small capitals, which keeps things like coordinates, chat timestamps, and scoreboards looking consistent.
