Prevent Players from Escaping Combat into Safe Zones

Block Safe Zone Escape During Combat

When a player is tagged in combat, they cannot flee into protected areas like spawn, shops, or claimed regions. This keeps fights fair and prevents cowardly retreats.

Setting Up Safe Zone Protection

1. Identify which regions or worlds should be considered safe zones (spawn areas, shops, towns)

2. In the PvP Manager config, enable prevent-safe-zone-escape or similar option

3. Define safe zone boundaries—this typically integrates with your region protection plugin

4. Set the combat tag duration (how long a player remains "in combat" after their last hit)

5. Reload the plugin

How It Works

Once a player deals or takes damage, they enter combat status. If they try to cross into a safe zone boundary while tagged, they are either blocked from entering or teleported back to the combat area. The exact behavior depends on your config settings.

You can whitelist certain commands or actions that are still allowed in safe zones even during combat. This prevents frustration while maintaining fair PvP rules.
