Install and Manage Bukkit Plugins

Prepare Your Server

Ensure your Purpur server is running and you have access to the server files. Purpur is fully compatible with Bukkit and Spigot plugins, making plugin installation straightforward.

Download Compatible Plugins

Find plugins from trusted sources that list Bukkit or Spigot compatibility. Popular options include EssentialsX (player commands and economy), WorldEdit (world manipulation), and Vault (permission management). Download the .jar file for each plugin.

Install Plugins

Place downloaded plugin .jar files into the plugins/ folder in your server directory. Create this folder if it doesn't exist.

Load and Configure

Restart your server. Purpur will automatically load plugins from the folder. Most plugins generate configuration files in plugins/[PluginName]/ after first load.

Verify Installation

Join your server and use /plugins command to list active plugins. Check server logs for errors during startup. If a plugin fails to load, verify it's compatible with your server version and check the plugin's documentation.

Manage Permissions

Use a permission plugin like Vault to control which players can use plugin commands, ensuring proper server administration.
