Create Intentional Flooding in Valleys and Low Areas

Understand Natural Water Gathering

The mod automatically collects water in low-lying terrain like valleys, canyons, and coastal areas during rain. Water pools accumulate in depressions naturally, so the terrain shape determines where flooding occurs.

Design Your Landscape

To create dramatic flooding effects, dig or terraform valleys with sloped sides leading to a low central area. Make the depression wide and deep enough that water visibly pools there during storms. The steeper the surrounding terrain, the more dramatic the water accumulation will appear.

Combine with Other Features

Place full cauldrons in low areas and break them during rain to add extra water. Position blocks that drip water (like leaves or dripstone) above valleys so water continuously feeds into the depression. Snow in high areas will melt and flow downward, adding to the flooding effect.

Observe During Rain

Adjust terrain as needed to guide water flow and create the flooding pattern you want.
