Enhance Water and Transparent Block Appearance
Locate Transparency Settings
Open Shader Options and search for settings related to water, glass, or transparency effects. PS2 Shaders applies its cartoon filter to all blocks, including transparent ones.
Adjust Water Rendering
If available, look for:
- Water Fog: Controls how far you can see underwater. Increase for clearer underwater visibility, decrease for a murkier retro feel.
- Reflection Strength: Some versions allow adjusting how much the sky reflects on water surfaces.
Customize Glass and Transparency
The shader's cartoon effect applies to glass and other transparent blocks. If they appear too stylized or hard to see through, check for opacity or edge-detection sliders that can soften the effect on these blocks.
Test in Different Environments
Visit water bodies, glass structures, and stained glass builds to see how adjustments look. The retro aesthetic may make transparency effects appear more pronounced than vanilla Minecraft—this is intentional, but you can fine-tune it to your preference through shader settings.
