Finding Your Way Around the City Without Getting Lost

Use the Street Grid System

Projekt City is built on a logical grid layout. Main streets run in clear directions and are wider than alleys, making them easy to follow. Pick a main street as your reference point and use it to orient yourself. Streets are named or numbered consistently, so remembering one intersection helps you navigate back.

Mark Key Landmarks

Identify tall, unique buildings from your starting area—these serve as visual anchors. The tallest structures are visible from most locations in the city. Use these landmarks to gauge your direction and distance. If you're exploring alleys and lose your bearings, head toward a recognizable tall building.

Create a Mental Map

Walk the same routes multiple times to build familiarity. Start by exploring one neighborhood completely before moving to the next. This prevents the city from feeling overwhelming and helps you remember where key areas connect. After a few sessions, you'll instinctively know how districts relate to each other.

Stick to Main Paths First

When you're new, avoid getting too deep into side alleys immediately. Main streets are designed to loop back to familiar areas. Once you're comfortable with the overall layout, venture into smaller passages and hidden details.
