How to Unlock Locked Tools and Blocks

Understand Why Something Is Locked

If a tool refuses to work or a block will not break, the cause is usually a profession gate rather than a bug. The mod supports tool unlocks and block unlocks, meaning an occupation must reach a certain level before you can use a given tool or harvest a given block. The profession menu is where you confirm which occupation owns that gate and what level you currently hold.

Find the Required Profession

The lock is tied to a specific occupation, not to your overall progress. A block that will not break might belong to the Mining profession, while a tool might belong to Crafting or Building. Open the profession overview and look for entries that mention unlocks, or check the tooltip on the item if your pack adds one. Once you know the owner, you know exactly which action to repeat.

Level Past the Gate

Grind the matching action until the required level is reached. Because unlocks are checked against your current level, you do not need to craft anything special; simply gaining the level removes the restriction. After leveling, test the tool or block again. If it still fails, re-open the menu to confirm the level actually applied, then try a different tool of the same type in case only a specific variant is gated.
