How to Check Your Profession Level and Progress

Opening the Profession Menu

Once the mod is installed, your profession data is tied to your player, not to a block or item. The main way to inspect it is through the profession GUI. Bind or use the mod's keybind (check your Controls menu for the profession-related entry if the default key conflicts with another mod) to open the overview screen. This screen lists every occupation you currently have progress in, along with your current level and the experience bar toward the next level.

Reading the Progress Bar

Each occupation shows a bar that fills as you gain experience from its associated actions. Hovering or selecting an entry usually reveals the exact experience values and, if the pack author configured them, any item or money rewards waiting at the next level. If you have not yet started an occupation, it may not appear until you perform its first action or until you manually join it, depending on how the profession is configured.

Why Levels Matter

Your level gates more than bragging rights. Tool unlocks and block unlocks are tied to profession levels, so a low Mining level can prevent you from using certain pickaxes or breaking certain ores. Check the menu before assuming a block is bugged; it may simply be locked behind a profession you have not leveled yet.
