Enhance Night Vision Without Losing Atmosphere
Access Lighting Controls
Open Shader Options and find the nighttime or ambient lighting section. Prizm Shaders provides controls for how bright nights appear.
Adjust Night Brightness Carefully
Increase ambient light values to make nighttime more visible, but do this gradually. Too much brightness removes the atmospheric darkness that makes nights feel immersive.
Use Moonlight Enhancement
Look for moon-specific settings:
- Moonlight Intensity: Boost how much light the moon provides
- Moon Glow: Add subtle halos around the moon
- Starfield Brightness: Make stars more visible without oversaturating the sky
Preserve Contrast
Keep shadows reasonably dark even when increasing night brightness. This maintains depth and atmosphere. Adjust shadow darkness independently if needed.
Consider Block Light Balance
Torches and lanterns should remain your primary light sources. If ambient night lighting is too high, torchlight becomes invisible. Balance ambient settings so artificial light still matters.
Test Different Biomes
Night appearance varies by biome. Check forests, plains, and caves to ensure visibility is consistent without feeling artificial.
