Setting Up a Survival Base in the Captain's Quarters

Claiming Your Space

The Captain's Quarters offers the most defensible and well-appointed location on the galleon for a survival base. Start by clearing out any existing furniture or decorations to make room for your essentials.

Building Your Setup

1. Place a crafting table near the center of the main cabin room

2. Set up a furnace against one of the wooden walls for smelting and cooking

3. Create a bed in a corner to set your spawn point—this prevents losing progress if you fall overboard

4. Install a chest system along one wall to organize your gathered resources

5. Add torches around the perimeter to prevent mob spawning and improve visibility

Securing the Area

Place doors at all entrances to the Captain's Quarters to control access and keep mobs out during night cycles. The elevated position and enclosed walls make this cabin naturally defensible compared to the open deck areas.

Storage Expansion

As your survival progresses, use the adjoining rooms connected to the quarters for additional storage. This keeps your main cabin organized while maintaining quick access to supplies.
