Optimize Performance on Lower-End Hardware

Reduce Visual Effects

Pristine Clear Lighting is built for budget systems, but you can lighten the load further. In shader options, disable or lower:

• Waving leaf and plant animations
• Subtle shadow effects
• Any ambient occlusion or advanced lighting features

Lower Render Distance if Needed

While not a shader setting, reducing your render distance in Video Settings significantly improves frame rates. Start at 8-12 chunks and increase gradually until you find your performance sweet spot.

Monitor Frame Rate

Use F3 debug screen (or your launcher's performance overlay) to watch FPS while adjusting settings. The shader should maintain playable performance even on older graphics cards when properly configured.

Disable Unnecessary Features

If water clarity enhancements cause lag, you can often disable enhanced water rendering separately. Test each feature toggle individually to identify what impacts your system most.
