Maximize Wet Surface Reflections During Storms
Setting Up for Best Rain Effects
Prisma Shaders emphasizes wet surfaces during rainfall. To see the full effect, position yourself in an open area where rain can fall on multiple block types—stone, dirt, wood, and glass all reflect differently when wet.
Viewing Reflections
Once rain begins, look at blocks around you at different angles. Wet surfaces will show reflections of the sky and nearby objects. Smooth blocks like stone and glass show the most dramatic reflections, while rougher surfaces like dirt and gravel show subtler effects.
For the best experience, build or find structures with varied materials. Roofs, walls, and ground surfaces will all interact with rain differently. Try standing under a partial overhang to see the contrast between wet and dry surfaces side by side.
Enhancing Visibility
Time your exploration for storms rather than clear weather. The shader's wet surface system is designed to activate during rain, so you'll notice minimal changes on dry days. Visit different biomes during storms—water-heavy areas like swamps and beaches showcase the reflective effects most prominently.
