Getting Started with Template Blocks
Applying Textures to Templates
Place a template block in your world, then hold any full-size block and right-click the template. The template will instantly adopt that block's texture while keeping its custom shape—whether it's a fence, wall, stair, slab, or other form.
You can apply textures from any full-size block, and the mod respects connected textures from other mods that use standard appearance methods. This lets you build detailed structures with shapes normally unavailable in vanilla Minecraft.
Special Interactions
Right-click templates with specific items to add special properties:
- Glowstone Dust: Makes the block emit light
- Redstone Torch: Turns it into an active redstone power source
- Popped Chorus Fruit: Makes the block non-solid so you can walk through it
Combine these effects with custom textures to create disguised redstone components or decorative elements.
