Selecting Your Origin

When you first spawn or create a new character, the origin selection menu will appear automatically. Browse through the available origins—there are dozens to choose from, each with unique abilities and trade-offs. Read the description of each origin carefully to understand what buffs and debuffs you'll receive. Consider your playstyle: some origins excel at combat, others at exploration or building.

Adjusting Character Size

Before confirming your choice, use the character size slider in the selection menu to customize how large or small your player appears. This is purely cosmetic and doesn't affect gameplay mechanics, but it can impact how you interact with spaces and how other players perceive you.

Viewing Your Powers

Once you've spawned, press O to open your origin overview screen. This displays all your current buffs, debuffs, and active abilities in one place. Review this screen whenever you need a reminder of what your origin provides. Understanding your strengths and limitations helps you plan your survival strategy effectively.
