Protect Named Items from Accidental Use

What This Protection Covers

Preventer Mod prevents you from placing, eating, or using items that have custom names—with exceptions for tools, weapons, and armor. This protects valuable or special named items from being consumed or deployed by accident.

Items That Are Protected

Named items like custom-named food, blocks, or utility items cannot be used without the activation key. However, named tools, swords, pickaxes, and armor pieces are excluded and work normally.

Using a Protected Named Item

1. Hold down the configured keybind (R by default)

2. Right-click or use the named item as you normally would

3. Release the key after the action completes

Why This Matters

If you've named a special item for storage, display, or quest purposes, this protection ensures you won't accidentally consume it or place it somewhere unintended. Named tools and weapons remain fully functional without restrictions, so your combat and building gear works smoothly.
