Disable Footstep Sounds in Specific Situations

Locate the Main Configuration File

Find the Presence Footsteps config file in .minecraft/config/. Look for a settings file (often named something like presencefootsteps.toml or similar) that contains toggles and options.

Turn Off Sounds Entirely

If you want to disable the mod completely without uninstalling it, look for a master enable/disable option in the config. Set it to false or disabled depending on the format used.

Disable Sounds for Specific Blocks

To silence footsteps only on certain blocks (like leaves or carpets), find the block-specific settings section. You can either remove the block from the sound mapping or set its sound to "silent" or "none."

Control Volume and Distance

Many configurations allow you to adjust how loud footsteps are or how far away players can hear them. Look for volume sliders or distance multipliers in the config file. Lowering these values makes footsteps quieter or less noticeable from afar.

Save and Reload

After making changes, save the file and restart your game or use the reload command to apply settings immediately.
