Set Up Your First Cannon Scope
Linking the Scope Connector
Before you can aim, you need to bind your scope to a cannon. Craft or obtain a Scope Connector and a CBC Scope item, then keep the scope in your inventory at all times—it won't work if you drop it.
Hold the Scope Connector and right-click directly on your cannon's breech block. You'll see the connector link to the artillery piece. The breech block (the rear loading end) gives the most accurate sighting line, so aim there rather than other cannon components.
Testing Your Link
Once linked, press = to activate the scope view from above the barrel. You should see a reticle overlay and your cannon's firing line. If the view doesn't activate, double-check that your CBC Scope is still in your inventory—even one empty slot can break the connection.
To unbind a scope from a cannon, hold Shift and right-click the breech block again with the connector. This lets you move your scope to a different cannon without crafting a new one.
