Stop Bleeding and Heal Severed Limbs on Mobs
Understand Bleeding Mechanics
When a mob loses a limb, it begins bleeding over time and loses health gradually. This bleed damage continues until the mob dies or you intervene. Stopping the bleed preserves the mob's life if you want to keep it alive.
Use Paper to Stop Bleeding
Right-click on an injured mob while holding paper. This action stops the active bleeding and prevents further health loss from that wound. The mob must be within reach, so approach carefully.
Paper Requirements
You need regular paper in your inventory. Each right-click uses one paper. Multiple limbs may require multiple applications if they're all bleeding simultaneously.
Regeneration and Regrowth
Stopping bleeding alone does not regrow limbs. For complete restoration, you need the creative-only potion that fully regenerates missing body parts. This potion is only available in Creative Mode and cannot be crafted in Survival.
Practical Uses
Stop bleeding to keep mobs alive for farming, breeding, or observation. Crippled but living mobs are useful for testing combat mechanics or creating controlled encounters without constant respawning.
