Cripple Humanoid Mobs by Severing Their Legs
Target Both Legs
To immobilize a humanoid mob, you need to remove both of its legs. Aim your attacks at the lower body—the legs and feet. Use a weapon with good cutting power; sharper materials like diamond or netherite work better than wood or stone.
Charge Your Attacks
The mod considers your attack charge and cooldown progress. Fully charge your weapon swing before striking to maximize the chance of a clean severance. Partially charged attacks may fail to cut through, especially if the mob is wearing armor.
Watch for Crawling
Once both legs are gone, the mob will fall to the ground and begin crawling toward you. It moves slowly and cannot jump, making it much easier to kite or finish off. Crawling mobs still deal melee damage if they reach you, so maintain distance.
Armor Considerations
Mobs wearing leg armor are harder to dismember. You may need multiple hits to cut through protective gear.
Healing Severed Limbs
If you want to restore legs to a crippled mob, right-click it with paper to stop bleeding and allow natural regeneration (if applicable to that mob type).
