Enable Light Rays for Morning and Afternoon Scenes
Open the Shader Settings
Access PoorLite's settings menu through your shader loader. This is where all visual effects can be toggled on or off.
Find the Light Rays Toggle
Look for an option labeled "Light Rays," "Sun Rays," "Volumetric Lighting," or similar. Make sure this option is enabled (checked or set to "on").
Position Yourself for Best Effect
Light rays are most visible during morning and afternoon hours in-game, when the sun is lower on the horizon. Avoid midday when the sun is directly overhead, as rays will be less noticeable.
Look Through Obstacles
Stand near trees, buildings, or other tall structures with the sun behind them. Light rays shine through gaps in foliage and between blocks, creating dramatic sunbeams. Windows and transparent blocks also showcase this effect well.
Adjust Intensity if Needed
If your shader settings include a light ray intensity slider, you can increase or decrease how prominent the rays appear. Stronger settings make them more visible but use more GPU power.
