How to Use Launchers and Explosives Safely

Point Blank includes heavy weapons like the AT4 and Ballista that fire rockets or explosive projectiles. These are powerful but dangerous to the user.

Loading Launchers

The AT4 uses AT4 Rockets. Craft them at the Arms Dealer Workstation, then load the launcher the same way you load a gun — hold the launcher, have rockets in inventory, and reload. The Ballista uses its own projectile type; check the tooltip for the exact ammo.

Firing Safely

Rockets explode on impact and deal area damage. Never fire at a target close to you — the blast radius will hurt or kill you. Aim at distant targets or groups of mobs. Avoid firing indoors or in confined spaces; the explosion can destroy blocks and damage you through walls.

Combat Tips

• Use launchers against clustered enemies or tough mobs.
• Do not fire while standing next to a wall or ally.
• After firing, reposition — the noise and explosion attract attention.
• Keep backup conventional weapons; launchers have limited ammo and slow reloads.

Storage

Store rockets separately from other ammo to avoid accidental use. Explosive ammo in a chest near your bed is a bad idea if a creeper wanders in.
