Allow Java Edition Players to Join Your Bedrock Server

Using Geyser for Cross-Edition Play

Geyser is a compatibility layer that translates Java Edition clients to Bedrock protocol, letting Java players join your PocketMine-MP server alongside Bedrock players.

1. Download the Geyser plugin for PocketMine-MP

2. Place the .phar file in your plugins folder

3. Restart your server

4. Geyser will generate a config.yml file in plugins/Geyser-Spigot/

Configuring Geyser

1. Open plugins/Geyser-Spigot/config.yml in a text editor

2. Note the port setting (default is usually 19132)—Java players will connect to your server IP using this port

3. Ensure your firewall allows this port

4. Save and restart the server

Java Edition players can now connect by adding your server as a custom server with your IP and Geyser's port. They'll appear as normal players to Bedrock clients, though some features may have limitations due to edition differences.
