PneumonoCore Mod: What It Is and Why You Need It

Understanding PneumonoCore

PneumonoCore is a library mod, not a content mod. It does not add blocks, items, or mobs on its own. Instead, it supplies the shared code framework that Pneumono_'s other mods depend on.

When you install a mod that requires PneumonoCore, that mod calls into the core for its underlying structure and utilities. Without the core present, those dependent mods cannot load or will fail at runtime. This is why PneumonoCore is described as foundational: it exists to make other mods work.

A second purpose is compatibility. By centralizing common utilities in one place, the core helps dependent modules run alongside each other without conflicts. If two of Pneumono_'s mods share logic, that logic lives here rather than being duplicated.

In practice, you install PneumonoCore the same way as any other mod, and then install the mods that need it. You will not interact with it in-game. It has no interface, no config to tune for gameplay, and nothing to craft. Its only job is to sit underneath the mods you actually use.
